  • 9:30 – 10:30 Brandy King discussed how to use social media professionally.  Not sure how a Twitter chat works or how to maximize your use of LinkedIn?…she will enlighten us. 
  • 10:30 – 11:30 Kate Donovan has worked at the Apple “genius” bar and will show us two great (free) Mac products.  See an example of a slide set in Haiku Deck at

  • 11:40 – 12:40 Patricia Anderson and Kimberley Barker will be joining us via Skype to talk about how their libraries brought 3D printing to their users. 

Transforming Health Care through Mobile Technologies - Information on the Run  September 13, 2013

Embedded with the Scientists:  Librarians' Role in the Research Process - November 7, 2012

This conference featured keynote speaker Chris Shaffer, University Librarian and Associate Professor at Oregon Health and Science University Library, and a panel of librarian informationists from biomedical research institutions who are currently engaged in working on NIH projects that have been awarded NLM Administrative Supplements for Informationist Services in NIH-funded Research Projects.


Where in the World is That Stat? - September 20, 2012

This joint program on demographic and health statistics was sponsored by SEMCO and MAHSLIN. Presentations included "Get that Stat: Locating Health Statistics," by Tufts University's Amy LaVertu and "Your Community By the Numbers," by Alexandra Baxter from the U.S. Census Bureau.
