Mimi Mattison, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist, Local Recovery Coordinator and Employee Assistance Program Coordinator at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Leeds, MA. She has worked at the VA for over 20 years, much of that time in inpatient direct clinical care. Dr. Mattison sought out training in iRest (Integrative Restoration) to have an evidence-based, complementary tool to help individuals find relief from anxiety, depression, sleep issues and chronic pain. She provided weekly iRest groups to Veterans. Dr. Mattison wanted her co-workers to be able to benefit from iRest as well and developed a program and provided iRest to employees. Dr. Mattison specializes in working with Veterans with Serious Mental Illness and is an active member, and former Training Director, of the Psychology Training Committee. She is the co-chair of the Multicultural and Diversity subcommittee of the Psychology Training Committee and enjoys working with interns. Dr. Mattison has a special place in her heart for librarians and libraries, stemming from her early childhood, way back in the days before electronics were omnipresent.
Dr. Mattison completed the Level 1 iRest training at Kripalu in 2015. She earned her PsyD from the California School of Professional Psychology and her A.B. from Smith College.
