The purpose of this award is to provide NAHSL members with the opportunity to expand their professional expertise by attending conferences outside of the medical library realm. Examples of such meetings include but are not limited to those with a focus on technology or teaching. Awards may cover any fees associated with the meeting or course, including registration, hotel fees, continuing education and travel. The award amount will not exceed $250.
Scholarships are awarded as reimbursements. Therefore, if you receive an award, you must register and pay the registration fee. After the conference, you can request to be reimbursed. Additional information can be found in the "Conditions of Award" section below.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please allow for up to four weeks for the NAHSL Professional Development Committee to respond to your application.
