Full Steam Ahead Panel Discussion:  All Aboard Community Partnerships

This fast track panel will share their experience with building community partnerships.

  • Elizabeth Irish and Kara Burke (Albany Medical College) will discuss their experience of partnering with public librarians to improve their comfort with consumer health resources and providing training on how to assist patrons in utilizing effective communication methods with their healthcare providers. 
  • Tina Panik (Avon Free Public Library) and Jennifer Bennett (Avon Senior Center Coordinator) will share their collaboration with Take Care of Yourself, a series of community conversations and training that promote good mental health. 
  • Ellen Sulzycki (Springfield City Library) will detail several health initiatives funded through the National Library of Medicine including community gardening, cooking programs, and health resource training. 

 

Making Headway:  Round Table Discussions

Whether it is a light at the end of the tunnel or just chugging along, meet with colleagues for round table discussions about some of the most pressing topics facing libraries.
