Section 14.0

Professional Library

14.1 The hospital shall provide appropriate library services for the professional and technical needs of hospital personnel including:

a) current books, periodicals and other pertinent materials;

b) appropriate computer resources for literature search and retrieval;

c) adequate facilities; and

d) adequate personnel to maintain the library service.

The Providence Community Library serves as Rhode Island’s Statewide Reference Resource Center (known as AskRI) with state funding provided via the Office of Library and Information Services (RIGL 29-6-9).

The program is to provide quality reference services and resources to all residents of Rhode Island.
