NAHSL Conference 2014, October 19-October 21, 2014: Lightning/Poster Presentations

Information pertaining to NAHSL (North Atlantic Health Sciences Libraries) Annual conference October 19-October 21, 2014

CALL FOR LIGHTNING PRESENTATIONS AND POSTERS!

Please join us for the Lightning Round session at NAHSL 2014! Each presenter will have 5 minutes to present.

Monday, October 20 11:30am

The format will be freeform.  Freeform includes any format, any number of slides (or none!). Use PowerPoint, YouTube or other technology (or no technology) - whatever you want – to get your idea across. You may set your slides to auto-advance if that works best for you.  Freeform sessions are limited (strictly!) to 5 minutes.

The object of the lightning round is to present an idea, a project, a plan, a philosophy or whatever is on your mind. Topics may include health, librarianship, technology, some special project, or any subject related to the conference or the profession. Creativity is welcome!  The abstract must include the title of the presentation, the chosen format, and a brief summary.

How to do it: First, view the 2013 video and slides by Jeannine Gluck and Kate Cheromka titled How To Light A Sparkler.  This presentation is both a how-to and a perfect demonstration of a presentation with auto-advance slides.

Tuesday, October 21 10am

NAHSL will offer an oppoortunity for posters after the Business Meeting. Please be prepared to staff your poster during that time. You may submit a poster that was presented at another event to be considered for inclusion at NAHSL 2014.

Abstracts will be due August 22, 2014. Use the Abstract Submission form on the right.

If you have questions, please contact Dina McKelvy (mckeld1@mmc.org).
