Welcome from the Chair
Greetings Members and Guests:
HSLIC, the Health Science Libraries and Information Consortium of Maine, is a group of dedicated health sciences librarians in both hospitals and academic institutions who engage in and promote cooperative endeavors to share their knowledge, promote resource sharing, offer continuing education programs, and encourage resource sharing.
Our membership includes primarily institutions but individuals as well in Maine that are involved with health sciences libraries. The pluses to membership include free reciprocal interlibrary loans, the opportunity to attend free or reduced-cost educational classes, consortium-purchased resources, and access to HSLIC publications, which includes the quarterly HSLIC newsletter. Voting rights at the twice-yearly membership meetings are also a benefit. Scholarship funds are available to help defray the cost of obtainging AHIP certification or applying for a higher level.
For a membership application, please see the “Join HSLIC” tab or contact our Treasurer/Membership chair Greg Curtis (Gregory.firstname.lastname@example.org) . Applications that meet membership criteria are entitled to all the rights and privileges of membership contingent upon payment of dues.
