CAHSL: Professional Resources

Professional Resources

MLA Mentoring Program

Whether you are new to the profession, in mid-career, or exploring the profession, the Medical Library Association (MLA) can help you meet your career goals. Search online to find a mentor or sign up to become a mentor to your peers.

The MLA Mentor's site will help you find tip sheets, suggested websites, and guidelines to help you be an effective mentor.

Visit a Health Sciences Library

There are medical libraries throughout Connecticut that would love to give you an opportunity to see more! You may want to speak with a medical librarian about what it is they do or perhaps you'd like to visit a medical library.

All mentoring opportunities offered by CAHSL conform to the standards and guidelines of the Medical Library Association. Appropriate paperwork and agreement forms must be completed prior to the inception of any mentor/mentee relationship.
