We are excited to welcome our two Keynote Speakers:
Shelagh Braley, former journalist, and editor-in-chief of Founderswire.com, is our new keynote speaker.
Matter of Fact: The Untapped Power of Real Information
The Innovation Economy has transformed many things, but the information business definitely is not one of them. Traditional purveyors of credible fact have been in a state of disruption for years, edged out by Google, Facebook, blogs, bots, and all their bells and whistles. But, according to journalist and media technologist Shelagh Braley, this story isn’t over yet—not by a long shot. Technology is only one layer of our society’s evolution. The next step is application, where technology merges with expertise to drive real change. In this talk, based on a decade worth of research and data, Braley shares how early market movers lose their advantage, how to cut through the noise to deliver value out of deep knowledge, and what happens when information junkies add tech know-how to their already exceptional skills.
We are also very please to welcome Dr. Patti Brennan, Director of the National Library of Medicine with her Keynote discussion
Data Powered Health (and how the NLM makes it possible!)
