NAHSL 2015 Program Planning Committee

Call for Papers, Posters, and Talks

The Program Planning Committee of NAHSL 2015 invites you to submit proposals for contributed papers, posters, and/or lightning round presentations for the 2015 Annual Meeting in Providence, RI. Papers, lightning talks, and the poster session will all occur on Monday, October 18.

NAHSL members and conference attendees often express that one of the greatest benefits to attending the Annual Meeting is the chance to hear about what their colleagues are doing at their work sites, share successes (and yes, even failures), and gather ideas and/or inspiration to jump start projects and programs. Plenary speakers offer big picture views and thoughts for our work, but it's often the membership that provides the real nitty gritty take-aways for everyone.

You're welcome to contribute along any topic you wish, though we do encourage you to think about the conference theme, Health Sciences Libraries: Anchored in Excellence, and use this as a starting point for planning your talk or poster. Be creative!

To submit a proposal, please prepare an abstract of no more than 250 words that describes the project you wish to speak on, idea you'd like to share, or subject of your poster. To help you decide what format to submit, please refer to the following:

  • Contributed papers (12-15 minutes, depending upon number of accepted papers)
  • Lightning talks (7 minutes each)
  • Poster (at least one author must be present at the poster during the 1-hour poster session)

If you have any questions or can't decide on which format to choose, please contact Sally Gore, sally.gore@umassmed.edu.
